Automatic follow-up
The connection email leaves before they walk away, and the follow-up leaves without you
The follow-up that leaves two weeks after the fair arrives after the person has forgotten which stand you were. LeadShake sends the first email while you are still talking: a connection message from your address, with your contact card attached. A follow-up leaves on its own after the delay you set, one to thirty days, and you see whether it was opened. On an event campaign, every evening brings a recap of what the stand captured that day.

01
The connection email
The moment a visitor submits the form, they receive an email from your address with your details and your vCard, so your contact lands in their phone with one tap. The thank-you screen offers the same card and, if you use one, your meeting link. You receive the lead at the same time, with every answer to your questions.
02
The follow-up, on your delay
Set a delay between one and thirty days on the campaign, and a follow-up leaves on its own for every contact captured that long ago. Seven days is the default, and three is often better after a fair: the window matters more than the wording. Add an address in copy and your colleague, or your CRM inbox, gets every email too.
03
Opens, on the lead page
Each email sent to a lead appears on its page with the moment it was opened, when it was. It is a signal, not a certainty, since some mail clients hide it, but a contact who opened the follow-up twice is the one to call first.
04
The evening recap
On an event campaign, every day that produced at least one lead ends with a recap to the campaign owner and to each team member who captured that day: how many contacts, by whom, how many still exist only as a photo. It is the number the sales manager asks for at dinner, sent before they ask.
05
Consent decides what leaves
A visitor who filled the form asked to be contacted. A contact captured by a salesperson in trade show mode only receives these emails if the consent box was ticked. Without an email address, or without consent, nothing leaves and the lead stays in the register for you. The GDPR page covers the legal basis.
06
Reminders before anything expires
Three days before an event campaign closes, its owner is reminded. Two weeks before an unused credit lapses, so is its holder. A campaign that closed keeps every lead searchable and exportable; only the capture stops. The trade fair use case follows the full week.
Questions
The connection and follow-up emails carry your name, your details, your company and your vCard, and leave from your address. They are templates, not free text, so a lead receives the same clean message whoever on the team captured them. Switch either one off per campaign if you prefer to write by hand.
